may i ask what lense you took this with?

this is made with a canon macrolense 100mm/2.8, no
stabilizer, this is not needed for macro, because you have
to use a tripod always. but it is quite an extreme crop,
maybe just 20 percent of the whole shot.

All the drama that goes on in this tiny scale...

i got the feeling this microworld is
the same complicated thing like the "big world".
And it seems to be quite dangerous if you live in
that tiny world :-)

I agree - a pretty scary thing to live in the tiny world...and it brings the question of what big thing out there sees us as the tiny world?

that`s an good question, indeed. I red a book
once, forgot the title now, with an interesting idea.
the story was about a multinational company, who had the life
of a whole city inside a computerprogramm. so all people, relationships, emotions and every tree
was just a datastream. people living in that city, didn`t know
about themselves, one of them discovered it and tried to reach the real
world. the model of this society was just made before to test the acceptance
of new products and campaigns in the real world, but in the end it
arised just the same question, which you had ;-)

I've seen a number of movies with that sort of theme, and even read some scientific theories that our universe is in reality, holographic. My favorite thought-provoking book was one called The Self Aware Universe, which goes through lots of very cool quantum physics experiments (explained for the layman) and proposes that consciousness precedes (and creates) the physical world - in other words that we are all just walking through God's dream. I do love the wonder and the mystery of it all :)

Here's a link to the book in English so you can see what it is: [link] I hope you can find it in German because the science gets a little complicated and it would probably be much more comfortable to read it in your native language. This was truly one of my all time favorite books - just a beautiful mixture of sound science, philosophy and spirituality. I did struggle with some of the science but leaned into it until it clicked - it was totally worth it! Good luck with this - hope you can find it :)
