A wonderful and surprisingly bold use of watercolor.

The sky and simple background complement the foreground so nicely. I love how smoothly the sky blends together offering such peace to the eye. The deep blue as it blends into the other colors is intoxicating.

The hills are a wonderful touch. They give the background world of the 'living tree' depth. I want to roam the hills and find more wonders in the world you've created.

I confess it is the tree bark that I love the most. How you were able to get such a variant of color and texture into it amazes me. The details so minute and so complicated to do with watercolors really is a treat.

The branches I find eerie. Strange and twisted things that are somewhat scary to gaze at. I believe thats because of their facial expressions. However the backside of the tree - the shadow people offer relief and complement the overall movement of the tree.

The grass I find a little too dark, to stark against the rest of the color pallet and so close to the foreground. It might also be because I keep wanting this to be happy magical place even though it really isn't.
